By using these Convert-A-Benches, my students and will be able to sit in the benches during direct instruction and then convert them to tables when they are working collaboratively, spending time together building community, or working with technology. This will also promote the flexibility of our learning space which is usually filled to the brim with our large class sizes in our urban school district. My students thrive in environments that allow for them to feel comfortable and make choices about their learning. These benches will promote that for my students and will help me to continue to build the warm classroom culture that I continually strive for.
