Math Club is a place where our math ELL learners are looking to understand and breakthrough some hard to grasp Algebra concepts. These small groups of striving students will come together and deconstruct math problems with a step by step thinking-frame to empower their own problem-solving skills. Math Club will begin with a presentation of the Algebraic problem on the large mobile whiteboard. This important teacher think-aloud teach time will be followed with a specific thinking anchor chart to emphasize the problem-solving process for each child. The lapboards will provide each student with the opportunity to show their own work as the teacher actively gives specific feedback for in the moment reteaching.
