One of the biggest challenges I faced this spring as a public school art teacher working remotely was not knowing what supplies my students had to work with at home. This fall, my students will be starting the year remotely. With budget cuts to all programs, it is unclear what my department will be able to provide students with for their virtual learning this fall. Providing each student with a sketchbook from the start of the year will help ensure my students have a place to create, regardless of what other supplies they have at home. It will be simple and easy for them to keep track of their work and take up less space in their homes.
