This text will be used for a novel study. My students have a passion for stories that are real and relatable. They need a novel that will provoke thought, encourage discourse, and push them to think beyond black and white. Students are expected to read texts that no longer engage, motivate or hold their attention. I am certain that Just Mercy will do just that. The novel will keep my students' attention and allow them to learn real-life lessons. These novels will be used for three of my literature classes or roughly 85 students.
