My goal is to have a rich library where ANY student can feel seen and heard as well as given the opportunity to learn from others. Books provide "mirrors and windows" to students, either mirroring their own culture and identity, or a view to understand another person's experience. The books chosen for this project vary by subject matter and genre. This was an intentional choice as I want books that I can share with students as well as books they can access themselves. Students are never too young to learn to love. The donation of these books will help make my classroom library more inclusive. We have to be an example to our children because they are listening to us at all times and watching what we do. They will make a change in this world!
