Our population has recently shifted to include double the Latina population! While it is amazing for the diversity of my children and my classroom, we are in need of tablets to use programs like Microsoft translator as well as programs that allow my students to practice grade level standard practice in their native tongue. My charter school is unique in that it has gender specific classrooms. Our parents choose our school in order to give the students opportunities they would not otherwise have. Only about 1 in 4 students in our school have a home computer. Technology can make a world of difference inside my classroom.
