All of my students have a passion to learn the math content being taught as well as meeting individualized goals. They often struggle to do this because they become lost when the lessons are too long or the expectations are too high. This year I would like to do math centers where the students will go to each center for 15 minutes where they will engage in hands-on learning. They will use LCD writing tablets to work out their work when doing small group instruction with me in order to add more technology into the classroom. Students will be able to take control of their own emotions during this time by going to the cozy area to work or to relax after getting overwhelmed. These things will help me offer a more inviting classroom where students enjoy learning.
