For many of my 4-year-olds, this is the first time they have been away from their parents or the first time they have played with someone who isn't a sibling or a relative. Dramatic play including baby dolls or a dollhouse is something that helps children feel comfortable and confident. Dolls and dollhouses help children to develop social skills and to use their imaginations. The dollhouse, dolls, and accessories I have chosen will give several students the opportunity to play house at the same time. During this time the children are talking and using their imaginations creating different situations to play through allowing them to socialize, learn how families can be different, and how to take care of each other.
