I want to encourage my students love of reading and these 2 sets of books will help with this goal. The George vs. George book will help teach my students that there are more than one side of any disagreement. The Lewis and Clark book uses primary sources to describe the exploration of the Louisiana Purchase. Both books will help my students learn how to use historical thinking skills. Learning historical thinking skills are important in teaching students to think critically, to understand that there is always more than one perspective in any situation, and to be good consumers of information.

About my class
