This project is all about creating a classroom community and having students take part in the creation of their space. I love allowing students a chance to create their own learning. I love creating an atmosphere for the students when they walk into the classroom by playing music that is relevant to the topic we are covering for a class that day. The speakers will be a big improvement in ensuring students are receiving the messaging. Unfortunately, I only have the speakers on my laptop and they are not loud enough to carry sound throughout the classroom. The laptop speakers are also not loud enough when I play video clips or when I play music during work-time. There are also many simulations that we conduct and I do not have the supplies necessary to adequately run those simulations. The construction paper, markers, scissors, rulers, envelopes, colored pencils, and other office supplies are all required materials students need to successfully complete the simulations. With your generous donations, students will be able to experience and create their own learning to explore firsthand economic inequities, government structures, and diplomatic relationships.
