As much as we love technology, technology does not always love us. Sometimes technology fails, and that is why we need external hard drives to guarantee our work is always safe despite technological failures. Having external hard drives will allow my students to save their film and photography projects on multiple storage devices. This way my students will avoid copious amounts of stress and anxiety when their weeks of hard work corrupts. Having safety and security will allow my students to no longer spend mental capacity worried about what might happen and will be able to focus on creating the most spectacular digital art they can imagine.
