4th graders will learn about economics in a real life setting. Our classroom will become their own mini-society. Students will utilize their classroom money system to invest in business supplies. Students will use their learning and creativity to make a business plan and prepare their products to sell to other students! Students will decide which type of items they will need for their business supplies. They can create bracelets, decorative clipboards, picture frames and coasters. They will have to set prices and then test the supply and demand of their products when the classroom stores open. Were their decisions financially sound for them? The excitement in the minds of 4th graders doing this project is worth every penny!
