Each student is going to create a restaurant and a menu with prices to raise funds to create our city (all pretend). We are going to learn about shopping, selling, taxes, discounts, best offers, bank accounts, and other items involving money. Many of our students do not have much knowledge of money currency or the use of checks or a bank account. The cash register and the pretend money and checks will be very useful. Students learn better through hands-on activity and with visual. I am providing different seating arrangements and working stations to accommodate the various learning styles and abilities of my students as well as to simulate different places/spaces.
