A welcoming environment motivates students to want to be there and learn. Adding a colorful rug and some colorful stools to my classroom will not only make the environment more welcoming, but will provide comfortable spots to learn. The kids will enjoy sitting on the stools for small group reading lessons around my kidney table, and the rug will provide a great place to sprawl out with a good book for independent reading. The colors in the rug and stools coordinate with some other things I have bought for my classroom and will help my otherwise dingy blue classroom transform into an inspiring place where kids will want to be. Thanks so much for considering my project!
