Flexible seating gives our classroom a more collaborative environment. This will help teach students how to work respectfully with others, resolve conflicts, and speak kindly to one another. It also gives a safe space for my students to be coached and practice how to interact successfully with others around them. I love giving children choices and this type of environment gives them a chance to move around freely, sit where they are comfortable, and learn in a space that best fits their learning needs. This change to the learning environment is a step toward teaching our students about teamwork, collaboration, and understanding that each of us learns differently!

About my class
