This is my first year teaching second grade. I would love to offer the best classroom experience possible for all of my students. I want them to have a great environment to work in so that they are successful. Students will have an area to improve their reading skills. Reading opens a whole new world to students without even traveling. I will implement guided reading groups to meet the needs of all students. The comfortable and varied seating will help students to have a positive learning environment. The stools will go around our guided reading horseshoe table. They can also be moved for additional seating at our regular tables. This would be great for buddy reading from another grade level. I will also use the lap white boards for large group and small group instruction to check for student understanding. All items purchased will be utilized daily. I have already dipped into my own pockets significantly to get my first year rolling. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
