These additional seating options will help to offer a wider variety of choice of seating for my students. Students currently sit or lay on the floor with clip boards and they enjoy that freedom very much. The use of the flexible seating will be constant throughout the day. Students will use them during workplace activities for math, word work activities for literacy, and later in the year throughout the entire day. Students will use them to help increase their focus, responsibility, and efficiency. These tools will allow students to follow along in any subject or activity with ease, comfort, and a high level of engagement. Students will be able to work from any spot in the room fostering responsibility and teaching them to make good choices. It will allow students to have their own personal space and get their wiggles out if desired or needed. A warm, inviting, and flexible environment as well as choice can change a student’s outlook on learning and work.
