My students are 1st grade students that are on the Autism spectrum. We need Amazon Fire tablets in our classroom so that students have access to online interactive instruction that differentiates to the specific needs of all students. Children on the Autism spectrum typically gravitate towards electronic resources. By having tablets in our classroom, we can provide these students with a resource that they are comfortable with while still having high expectations for learning. Many of my students have assistive technology needs that will be fulfilled through the use of the tablets. They will use these tablets to improve their literacy abilities at a level that is individualized to their needs.
