These materials will help to make a difference in several ways. The binders will help the students to organize themselves, and since they are already learning a new language, this will relieve their anxiety a bit. When the students first arrive in the U.S., they are often not familiar with the culture of the education system, which is why binders with dividers, notebooks, and planners will support them. The crayons, glue, and tape will help to make a difference because they are necessary for the group activities that they will partake in throughout the year in order to strengthen their oral and written language. Lastly, the pens and markers will allow the students to actively participate in class. Without these supplies, students may not be able to become engaged.
