My students enjoy movement while working! As this is my first full year teaching, I am excited to bring flexible seating into my classroom. My students have seen stools, wobble chairs, and lap desks in other classes and have asked to have them in our class! These alternate means of seating such as stools and lap desks will allow them to wiggle while they are working all day every day! Studies have shown that students who have movement during the day retain the information being shared much easier! Many of our daily activities have the students up and mobile throughout the classroom for collaborative learning! When a lesson calls for the students to be seated, these movement seats will allow them to remain in one place but be active! I know my kiddos will be excited to get these new wiggle seats because it is something they have repeatedly asked for! The Clorox wipes will also keep our room clean and fresh to keep all of the germs away!
