Students will all feel a sense of unity and fairness as all will be playing the same type of instruments. This instrument pack is related in shape but they are different in size. This means they will produce different pitches and provides students the opportunity how size does in fact affect the pitch. So in short, these instruments will be utilized to discuss pitch but also skills such as tempo, rhythm/beat, etc. Lesson: How does the size of an instrument affect the sound (pitch) of that instrument? Why is there a different sound associated with the different sizes? Can this be transferred to non-instruments? Why does a lion cub sound different from a full-grown lion? These are questions that will start and keep the momentum of a lesson on pitch.
