We are going on a magic carpet ride in our room but are missing the key component! I want to encourage my students to feel comfortable while increasing their knowledge at the same time. They are in the process of embracing all the wonderful things 2nd grade has to offer, but we need a classroom carpet to maximize their potential. My students are eager learners who enjoy story time, whole group lessons and class meetings in our special area throughout the day. I am building a classroom of individual thinkers who enjoy sharing their ideas and thoughts with their peers. My students work collaboratively multiple times a day to ensure readiness and to make connections through one another.
