For students at this age, sitting in a chair at a desk or table all day can be a difficult task. Studies show that students who are able to move around in their seats focus better, and pay more attention to what they are being presented. My students are an enthusiastic group that love to learn, but could use a little extra help getting their wiggles out. At this grade level, students are still full of energy and very active, and have trouble sitting still for periods of time. The Hokki stools that I have chosen will help them to stay in their seats and encourage movement, but without becoming a distraction for the rest of the class. This will help them to stay engaged, actively learning, and on task.
