My students live in Maryland. Many of my kids are in need. About 78% of our school population qualify for free and reduced meals. This means we serve our students both breakfast and lunch. Each day, over 110 students call our classroom home for at least one period. We are a family! I want to create a home away from home for my students where they feel comfortable learning in our class. I want a room where my students want to come because it is not like that traditional classroom. Most of the materials that I have requested will be used to create our home. I have make curtains and the seating options will add comfort for my kids. The wall decor that I have chosen is inspirational because I always want my kids to know that they will change our world!
