We are hoping create a fun environment for students to learn and grow in their sensory and education needs. Some items I am requesting are for our sensory room where students go to help learn self calming techniques. I have also requested some basketballs to help build their coordination and self confidence as they learn to dribble. There are also items to assist with our student academic learning. Items that use visual and kinesthetic learning to diversify teaching techniques. Students with Autism have many challenges so these items will utilize their bodies, minds and spirit. Repetition is also a key to learning, and all of the items we are seeking with be able to be used repeatedly. Learning activities are used in math and language arts. The basketballs and sensory items are used to teach social and life skills.
