I am going into my fourteenth year of teaching but before now I’ve only taught kindergarten and second grade, so most of what I have is too young for the new sixth grade STEM students I will be teaching. I would love to be able to purchase an age-appropriate rug where students can go as they learn and explore new concepts. Having different areas in the classroom where students can get up and move around as they learn is important to me. This age group learns best through hands-on activities and moving around the classroom. Having an age-appropriate rug is a great first step!
