Theatrical Design is a class and Texas UIL Contests. Students create designs for the stage in the categories of Set, Costume, Hair/Makeup and Marketing. The materials that we are asking for will give my students hands-on skills in creating their design projects. For example, they will be able to use the photography equipment to develop ideas, create samples, take professional photos of makeup designs, and create photos for the marketing. Also, they will use the photography equipment to assemble excellent photos for the first round contest submissions that must be photographed then sent digitally to the contest manager. Having the proper tools will give my students the opportunity to learn valuable marketable skills and enable them to create designs that are only limited by their imaginations. UIL Academic contests give students a chance to learn skills, compete for scholarships, network with other students in the fields they have a passion and interest.
