With the purchase of convection ovens, it enables me to create six groups of students that can each develop and design their food product test. The convection ovens will be used by students when they develop their products and evaluate their product recipe and construction. In my Intro to Ag course, one of my units of instruction is food science and currently, in my lab space, I don't have the capabilities to cook any food. A majority of the projects in the Food Science curriculum I am trained in requires an oven of some sort. Many of my past students leave my class, explaining how they loved learning how the Cheeto was made and developed. In my class, students make their own Cheeto and cheese flavor. With the purchase of these toaster ovens, it would eliminate the need for me to take all of the students' projects home and cooking them at my house.
