I have requested popular 7th and 8th grade books that will allow all of my students to read daily. The pencils will allow all students to learn to write in a variety of ways leaning how to construct compound and complex sentences. My ESL students will have the opportunity to use creative graphic organizers, color charts to use with sentence stems, and color graphs to use for sentence construction of post-it notes. Word games to allow movement of each child to match words with definitions. I will also add creative word games to help learn memory and word retention. Variety of sentences promotes good writing skills.
