Flexible seating in the classroom in this day and age is a key factor in student academic success. When students have the ability to pick where they want to work, they are more likely to achieve certain tasks. In my classroom, specifically, I have students with varying needs as our school integrates ESE students into Gen Ed classrooms to provide them with the least restrictive environment as possible. I have students who require accommodations to help them adapt in the regular classroom and this flexible seating will meet the needs of students with special needs such as autism, sensory issues, Down syndrome, visual/auditory impairments, etc.
