These book are going to bring my kids to their next levels in reading! They will challenge both their fluency and decoding. These particular book selections will also teach awesome values about morality and social justice to kids in a world that often seems lacking in empathy and joy. They have been suggested by experts and then hand-picked by the kids. After 17 years of teaching I have found that if students are not interested in the literature presented they will not be inclined to read, which, in turn can change their lives as they move forward in their educational career. They are craving to read current books about contemporary issues. They want to increase their awareness of the world around them through literature. As their teacher I want to support this desire. Please support our cause.
