Using the flexible seating and rugs in my classroom will be a daily thing. Second graders aren't designed to stay seated in a desk and chair all day while they learn. My Students will have one of the rugs to sit together as a class during parts of lessons where only listening is required. The other rug will be their own area to enjoy their reading time and the flexible seating will be for the wiggly ones! When they get the opportunity to sit differently and move around the room to engage in their learning my students will be more active in their educational experience.
