The materials I have selected are the perfect size for the little hands of my preschoolers. Using smaller writing tools in the classroom will help them strengthen their hand grip. This will allow them to develop confidence in their writing. These supplies will assist my students in learning to write their name, their ABC's and their numbers. They need good fine motor skills to use scissors or tie their shoes. As their fine motor skills grow stronger this will help with daily self-care tasks such as using buttons, opening and closing containers, etc... Having strong muscles in their hands also helps them grab utensils and food which takes place daily.
