This project is focused on allowing students a chance to share their thinking on a larger, erasable model that is easy to move around and see anywhere in the class. Our notes this year (and all years to come) will be 100% student generated based on activities and projects they complete. In order to do this, we need a place where we can write our class notes and save them for the next day instead of just using the one board at the front of the room. I also wish to use the boards as a way to share information with students when they utilize new digital resources (using the boards to give basic how-to information for each group of students or for a variety of different tools they can choose from). These mobile white boards will be utilized by all of my students, allowing them to fully engage with their own learning instead of just expecting me to give them all of the answers. Students will be able to write on the boards themselves (designated "writer" each day) and completely drive the discussions with my role being the facilitator for the discussions. I hope that these will allow us to also move our learning to places outside of the traditional classroom setting (like to our new outdoor learning space that was put in last year).
