This year my classroom will be full of inner city students who are enrolled in Special Education. Unfortunately, my school building is limited on resources, and anyone who has worked in special education will know that students who have special needs need appropriate accommodations to keep them focused in the classroom. I want to create a space where my students can feel calm and relaxed. There is no better medicine for the brain than peace, tranquility, and the permission to be comfortable! I'm in the business of nurturing scholars who may not have ever felt anyone has every really cared about them. So please help me create a safe space for my students!
