Music stands will allow singers in my room to free their hands for more effective learning! We use solfeg singing daily and the students use their hands to demonstrate their learning through solfeg hand signs. Stands will also allow for better singing posture. With the music on a stand, instead of in a binder, students will stop looking at their laps and be able to look up to the teacher more often. They will be able to sit up confidently and use breathing techniques that will allow their voices to be free of tension. Stands will also allow us to reduce music purchasing costs because students can share music with a partner on a stand. Partnering up will also help students engage with each other, learning how to collaborate and communicate more effectively.
