These books will make a difference for my students because they will feel represented in our classroom. The books I have chosen are from many different cultures, so my students will have stories to read about people who look like them and have some of the same experiences in life as they do. I want my students to feel represented within their own culture, and I want to give them the opportunity to learn about other cultures as well. I believe that our hearts and minds grow when we are able to learn about the experiences of other people.
