Having a projector system in stagecraft is not just ideal but a necessity for my students to translate their set design renderings to a larger scale. The addition of a dedicated projector for my students will enable them to rapidly and accurately trace their hand drawings onto flats for scenic painting practice. With the high frequency of stage shows in our arts-infused school, having a projector will not only benefit our work in the classroom but also our work on stage. We will be able to use the projector as a tool in our set building so we can focus less on mapping details and more on the actual painting: students will have more time to learn painting techniques that we otherwise would not be able to cover. The improvement to our sets will benefit stagecraft students by enhancing their portfolios for college by proving the level of professionalism that we hold them to, as well as benefit the costumers, actors, and dancers in our school who will also have photos from our shows in their portfolios. Thus, a projector in the stagecraft classroom not only benefits my students, but the rest of the school as well! Thank you for your consideration and support of arts-infused learning!
