Tolerance, empathy, and acceptance are all skills that can be taught. I am asking for multiple copies of eight different books that will help reinforce learning through different perspectives and situations. Help my students learn through others and grow into educated civilians! The best way to learn is through other people's stories and thinking about how actions affect others. I have personally read most of these books and want to grow my classroom library to have all different types of perspectives and ethnicities represented. These books would provide my students with options, as well as access. My students will be able to read these books all year-long, but will start by participating in literature circles to get the conversation started.
