Over the summer I decided to turn my high school special education math classroom into a year-long game. I want the students to be involved in the learning process. Students will learn the material and play games to demonstrate their understanding. I need supplies to hang posters, weekly math jokes, and to complete my Math FBI bulletin board where each student will be represented by a LEGO character. Student's LEGO will move around the game board by winning classroom games, solving problems, and working hard. Clipboards will allow students to sit in flexible seating and complete work. Many of my students benefit from movement. Last year I wrote a grant and was award 6 flexible seats for my classroom. Students enjoy sitting in a different seat and having a clipboard to use will assist them in completing assignments. The bookshelf and storage containers will hold everyday math materials along with various games.
