As teachers, we are preparing our students for future jobs that may not even exist yet. In order to provide them with the skills necessary to be successful outside of our classrooms, we have to let them experience modern technology and develop critical thinking skills inside our classrooms. This journey begins at the elementary level with exposure to authentic problem-based projects. We are requesting three BOLT app enabled robots. BOLT is Sphero’s most advanced app-enabled robotic ball to date, providing tools to express creative ideas, and ways to experience the power of programming. Programming is an engaging and effective way to teach vital skills in science and inquiry. With BOLT, students will have the opportunity to explore robotics, write code, and learn what to do when things don't always go as planned!
