I have selected bright, colorful engaging books and activities that will reinforce the necessary skills to help my students become better readers and mathematicians. The students will learn how to use these activities with adult volunteers and then practice the skills independently or in small groups during learning centers. Imagine walking into a classroom filled with five-year-olds, totally engaged and immersed in learning. I carefully selected materials that will support my students' learning, are fun and will promote social interaction with peers or independent learning depending on student goals. Engaging students in learning that is both fun and academic, makes for a happy and productive classroom.
