All of these items will be used in creating task boxes and work bins for my students to promote independent learning and fulfilling their sensory needs. The task bins will focus on Literacy and Mathematics. Task bins are created for student led learning and to help promote critical thinking and creativity. Some task bins involve students searching for letters in sand to create words. Some are used for calming students. I create a lot of the work myself based on individual student needs so its an ongoing task for myself as well. I enjoy creating the activities as much as my students enjoy participating in them. The task bins will also involve creating fine motor activities that involve hole punching paper to create shapes, answer math number sense, and matching for phonics based tasks. The students also do tasks that involve laminated work where velcro is utilized so that the work can be recorded and then returned to a bin for other students to complete.
