I want my students to be able to read in class - and at home - every single day. By offering them a selection of high interest texts right in the classroom, I can eliminate many of the stumbling blocks and make this happen. These students deserve every opportunity to learn to love to read and to experience new worlds in print. Reading a variety of materials will allow them to expand not just their world view, but also their vocabulary; the more they read, the more they know. If I can connect the right child with the right book, a lifelong reader may be born.
