Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. Some of my students come from homes where comfortable and safe seating for reading or completing homework is scarce. Every child needs to feel relaxed and comfortable when diving into a good book! When we have daily independent reading, my students will have the opportunity to choose a seat other than a hard desk chair. Wouldn't you stay engaged while reading a book if you had a soft place to sit? Having a comfortable and organized classroom library would motivate any young and eager reader. Let's provide this opportunity to every child!
