Kindergarten paves the road for future successes in our students' lives. By giving students the best opportunity to learn and grow by developing their skills with every possible resource available will give them a solid foundation in literacy and mathematics as well as they will also have the confidence going into other grades knowing that they are capable of doing the work. Phonics and phonemic awareness is extremely important at this age in ensuring our students read with an understanding as well as become fluent readers. Every other subjects is dependent on reading skills which is why reading is also incorporated as a part of other subjects' lesson plans.
