Flexible seating is one way that students can take charge of their own learning. When we give students the opportunity to choose a comfortable spot to learn and complete work there are less distractions and more focus. I want to give my students these opportunities by providing bean bag chairs and floor seating. This will help some students who just need a more inviting and comfortable position to learn more and to be more engaged. Also students need ample opportunities to read books at school and at home. The book bags will give students opportunities to take books home and practice reading with their parents. This organizational tool will help books to be returned for future use by other students.
