The art that will be placed on our art drying rack, will allow our students the space for their work to dry and maintain it's beautiful and original result. This project will further support the accessibility to creating even more art projects and having the appropriate space to store and let the art dry without worries of their art pieces being smeared, lost, or stored anywhere there is open space. Kindergarten is the space and time of a child's life where a lot of our learning is done through art. In our Dual Language class students work hard everyday to learn a second language. We know that there are many benefits of learning through art. Different content areas such as Math, Science, Language, and Literacy are taught and emphasized through the means of art. Throughout our art projects, our students learn about different cultures and diverse people who were impactful in our community and in our world. We learn about holidays, special events, and even about themselves through art and their own expression. We designate time and space for this learning to happen. An art drying rack will give our students a space for their art to be honored and maintained beautiful until it dries and can be taken home for families and loved ones to enjoy.
