As I mentioned I work in a low socio economic area, our school also has low funding. Since returning to kindergarten this past school year( 2018-2019) I have asked for cubbies, but received book shelves. The purpose behind cubbies is to teach my students organization, respect for materials, and responsibility. We are a college, and career readiness school district that implement AVID strategies. I want to begin in kindergarten showing my students how to become organized, how to work together, how to show responsibility with respecting and keeping their materials clean and safe. Kindergarten is the foundation of their educational future.
