Students at inner-city schools aren't exposed to coding experiences in the upper elementary/middle grades. It is important that they are given the same opportunities as their peers so they are able to get out in the job force. This past year, we went on a field trip where my students were exposed to coding and they were so excited and asked why they couldn't do things like this more. I couldn't give them a good reason why they couldn't besides there is no money and budget cuts. These games would provide my students with a stepping stone to gain some knowledge to coding no matter what their ability level. These games would help them not only learn coding, but team building skills as well. Building their coding knowledge while building their confidence is a win win situation.
